Didn't appreciate the admonishment that we were foolish not to carry cash in the country because eftpos is unreliable. Needless to say we didn't visit here since we didn't have cash available.

Well worth a visit. Kids loved the mine and the ladder climb to get out... you can really imagine what it would have been like for the early miners. Fantastic value for $10 and you would be hard pushed to find better.
